My brother bought these for me while he was in Europe, and I am still getting used to them. I usually smoke Camel Filters, but these are pretty good cigs. I really think that once I get used to them I will really like them. Get em if you can and try em out.

In my smoking days, I would buy the old Gauloises "brunes" or darks occasionally when I needed a nicotine fix. This was the traditional French cigarette smoked in many novels, movies and still shots. This was the cigarette of the Resistance, for instance, and really stood for France. Then the American brands, the "blondes" or lighter color tobaccos started to take hold and the old darker cigarettes started to decline. I read that Gauloises aren't made in France anymore but in Spain. Taxes are so high that cigarettes are dying out in France.

My usual brand in Europe but, I don't think they make them anymore.

they were alright, i didnt like them too much though, id rather smoke somethin north american

i prefer smoking Brunes to Blondes if i'm going to smoke gauloises but these are as good as any other blonde i've ever smoked.

Easily the best full flavor cigarette I have ever, or likely will ever smoke. These things are packed tight with some of the most expertly blended tobacco you will ever find. They have a smooth draw, intense but not abrasive flavor and a nice finish with zero aftertaste. Gauloises also burn at about half the rate of American cigs, so the enjoyment lasts longer. Most places are having these at a 2-1 special right now, so check them out, you won't find any better.

I recently tried the gauloises lights (red pack). These are absolutely the finest cigarette by far and beyond. Satisfying, smooth, medium burning speed. No headache. The tobacco has so much flavour, it's almost like a very light cigar, almost liek a prime time. It's a high quality taste. Very nice cig, just marvelous. The first drag I took I knew this was my new brand. If you see them try them for sure.
