 | forgotten hero (13) 01/05/2006 | Even though the series depends on high speed and quick reflexes I can't give him less than five stars because I spent about as much time with Sonic as I did Mario when I was a pint sized hero.

 | ClassicTVFan47 (36) 07/21/2004 | The second greatest video gaming franchise in history! Sonic the Hedgehog rode a blast-processing wave onto the Sega Genesis with the original title and never looked back. The character is appealing and the plot extremely creative and upbeat (rescue animals trapped in robots and save the world from an evil madman). The characters are quite appealing and, in the later versions, often have great dialogue. The levels are often sprawling and filled with coolicious secrets. Another staple of the Sonic game is the special stage, which could be full games all by themselves. Sonic has always led the way in graphics and the latest game, Sonic Heroes, has some of the best 3D graphics ever seen! The music is always consistently good and probably the best overall in any video game franchise. From the upbeat jingle of the Green Hill Zone to the awesome save-the-world theme to Sonic Heroes--you can always count on great music from Sonic games. The spinoff titles, such as Sonic Pinball Party and Sonic R, are of equally great quality!
