WONDERFUL!!!! We bought a bedroom set from Halpern's in June 2008 and the quality is unmatched. Friendly staff, amazing value, and we were shocked at how affordable their prices were. A great local business - I highly recommend Halpern's. We will buy more furniture from them in the future.

I had a great experience at Halpern's. When you go in, you should ask for one of the members of the Halpern's family to help you because they are much nicer than than the employees that work at the St. Charles store. Like you said before, they do have great furniture for cheap and it does last a long time. Since you only spend a certain amount of time there and you get something with lifetime warranty I guess it is worth it.

I had a very unpleasant experience at the St. Charles Halperns location. I won't go into every detail, but I was treated very unfairly by a member of the staff. The furniture is very high-quality, so this review should not reflect on the nature of the good sold; I am simply commenting on the manner in which those high-end goods were being purveyed by very low-end employees with low-end manners.

I suppose the treatment is partly due to the fact that my wife and I are younger than their usual clientele, but for the money I was prepared to spend (the sale was rescinded without my consent) I expect to be treated more equitably.
