I'm admittedly partial because I'm from California. But you can't have an intelligible discussion about the greatest teams of all-time without mentioning the San Francisco 49ers of the 1980's. Led by arguably the greatest signal caller of any era, Joe Montana, this team boasted great players on both sides of the line with names such as Jerry Rice, Roger Craig, Tom Rathmann, John Taylor, Ronnie Lott, Charles Haley, Ken Norton, Jr., Dwight Clark, Freddie Solomon, Keena Turner, Randy Cross, Bill Romanowski, and even Steve Young (himself a candidate for greatest quarterback ever) and et cetera- and all led by the great head coach and offensive guru, Bill Walsh (who, with all-due respect to this late great, might not be the greatest coach ever- but who is, without a doubt the most influential coach ever as his proteges have since been sought after by the professional and collegiate ranks alike). And, by the way, four Super Bowls in the 1980's isn't that shabby considering the fierce competition they faced throughout the decade!

But greatest ever? That's up to the experts to decide, but the 1989 San Francisco 49ers was earlier this year named the greatest team ever by ESPN:

By the way, I'm a Tennessee Titans fan. But the 1989 San Francisco 49ers, in my honest opinion, were/are the greatest team of all-time.

They won a few games. A few SUPERBOWL games, that is.
