We've all been lectured-and done some lecturing ourselves about who we should-and should'nt hang out with.And this movie probably does a better job of it-or at leasdt a more entertaining job.John Garfield plays Charlie Davis,a middleweight and an innocent guy,who ends up associating and being influenced by low-lifes .This is one of the landmark action films-in which fight scenes were filmed with a cameraman on roller skates.
