What Johnny says. We deserved better than Hannibal...a rehash of Lecter's old conversations and letters, + a cringingly embarrassing storyline (the nut crackin' dyke!). A lazy effort.

Thomas Harris was, for me, a five-star writer for this genre until Hannibal was uynleashed on his unsuspecting, loyal, patient public. What a joke! Black Sunday was a nice debut, if a bit stilted. Red Dragon raised the bar and set the legend in motion. Silence Of The Lambs was the pinnacle of a sporadic career. Hannibal killed everything.
