I would love to see it,but sorta Monday quarterbacking,I gotta go with Leonard. After being kayoed twice in a row,I question Jones' chin. I also think Leonard had better legs-and character..I dunno...but I don't expect Jones to pull off an upset of Tarver-even if he's favored in their rematch.

A Roy Jones, Jr. vs. Sugar Ray Leonard middleweight dream fight would make any fight fan salivate. But to imagine such a fight would be to consider (despite Jones's power advantage) the obvious fact that both Jones and Leonard are extremely similar. Max Kellerman commented (and rightfully) that Jones was a harder-punching version of the second Sugarman. But at middleweight, Jones would have been entering Leonard's territory. Two facts come to mind when talking about Leonard at middleweight: (1) he defeated the great Marvin Hagler at this weight (albeit to many, controversially); and (2) Leonard fought far better opponents at this weight level than Jones did. In truth, Leonard would have been able to disarm the more powerful Jones with ring smarts and saavy. No knockouts, but an easy Leonard win is not beyond any realm of possibility.
