There is no doubt that Sandy Saddler was one of the greatest fighters of all-time. A fighter with superb knockout power, Saddler was a slugger in every sense of the word. Proving himself against fellow great Hall of Famer, Willie Pep, Saddler was too much for the defensive genius. Given that, I think Saddler would have been frustrated by the great Salvador Sanchez not so much for his combination of power and speed (which was abundant). But Saddler's achilles heel was that he would have been flat-footed at intervals against a constantly-shifting and forward-moving Sanchez, who would have thrown bombs at the slower-moving Saddler. No knockouts in this one, however. Instead, this fight would have been a close-but-unanimous decision in favor of Salvador Sanchez.

Sandy Saddler is in a handful of the best pound-for-pound punchers, ever.Salvador Sanchez, who died tragically in a car accident, outboxed and stopped Danny Lopez-maybe the best featherweight one punch kayo threat aside from Saddler twice-once for the title(Maybe, fights had taken their toll on Lopez at this point). Sanchez was taller than Willie Pep and his boxing ability would create challenges for Saddler. This would have to be a classic between two Hall of Famer's.
