Lake Vista United Methodist Church is a place where people love God, love each other and believe in sharing God's love with the world. The church welcomes all members of the community and treat each other like brothers and sisters of Christ. Every Sunday after church, members and guest are treated to lunch and fellowship. Members are strenghthened in their faith through a variety of Bible study classes. The current pastor and the members of Lake Vista attempt to live a life of Christ in their words and deeds. The church has a variety of missions that involve community outreach and rehabilitation of New Orleans homes destroyed by hurricane Katrina. By all accounts, it is considered a growing church with an attendance of ~ 90 adults and children. Each summer the youth group attends a week long camp that further enriches their eventual goal toward christian maturity. The church welcomes all that accepts Christ as their Savior.
