(1) There has never been any doubt about steroid abuse in sports and (2) about drug use in baseball. Given this, Jose Canseco had every right to make his claim. But to rat-out former teammates and owners in his tell-all book so as to justify his own stupidity and to sell books for his selfish profit is comparable to an idiot like Courtney Love who blames the whole world for her drug dependency. Canseco is the poster child of personal irresponsibility and reckless behavior. And years from now, this once heralded hero of the diamond will only be remembered for being nothing but a low-life, self-absorbed, egotistical, exploit-for-profit scum which he ultimately turned out to be. What a total piece of trash!

He's scum alright! And why not? Who is he to tell people it's alright to take steroids? Is he a doctor or any other kind of licensed health professional? Take your book, your 'roid rage and go to hell!

Canseco's whole personality was pretty low before, but after his lousy book comes out and accuses others of things he can't prove he jumped a notch in the scum category.
