Half man, half amazing...every dunk he did was jaw-dropping. He put life back into the dunk contest. Many people do the arm-through-the-rim trick now, and you can thank Vince for doing it first.

I saw the encore on ESPN Classic 2 nights ago. I was amazed by Carter's dunks! The reverse 360 windmill, the arm in rim, the between the legs was sick! J Rich was spectacular in 2002 and 03, but can't hold a candle to Vince Carter in the 2000 Contest.

This guy has incredible offensive skills, awesome leaping ability and the perfect body type for dunk contests. Honestly the dunk he pulled off in the olympics during a live game when he completely leaped over a 7ft opponent with him legs straddled was one of the most amazing dunks I've ever scene.

Vince was amazing, and it looked like after that performance he was going to step up and be a superstar. Unfortunately a combination of injuries, Toronto, and a bad attitude have kept him from stepping into the NBA spotlight.

WOW!!! By far my most memorable Slam Dunk competition. The reverse 360 was unbelelivable. Also his off the backboard between the legs jam was unreal.
