Never has there been a more aptly descriptive nickname than that for this loathsome, toadlike figure. There used to be a sports radio host named Eddie Andelman in Boston who refused to let callers even mention his name for some years after the 78 debacle- they would be cut off UNLESS they referred to him as Chiang Kai-Shek.

Bestowed on him by Bill Spaceman Lee, during his tenure as skipper of the Red Sox. I always give Lee credit for realizing that Zimmers talents were more suited to comic relief.
