GoneAway, that's very interesting. But doesn't dixie com from it being south of the Mason-DIXON line? Which had . been in existance since the 1820's At least that's the impression they had in NC.

UPDATE: But after the North and South were finished trying to commit suicide, Dixie was a term used mainly in connection with that war. So, while it may not be historically accurate it's the connotation I was really referring to ...plus, I was JUST KIDDING!!! ORIGINAL POST: Let's keep those Civil War images alive as long as we can, shall we?
