Your never more than a 1/2 hour from the ocean in Rhode Island. Yeah it's a little state but it's got some really great ocean beaches and some of the most scenic waterfront property and homes are in Newport.

A lot of states can show off the ocean better than Rhode Island. Why don't they name it the teeniest little state

Not the first thing you think of when in little rhodey the way to small to even be a county state would be more appropriate.

I guess Rhode Island did have to choose something to be its nickname, but when I think of the Ocean, Rhode Island doesn't pop into my mind. Maybe The Little State that Could would be a better nickname.
