Appropriate nickname for West Virginia! For those of you who do not think the Mountains of West Virginia do not compare to the mountains out west, then I say get you hiking boots on and contact portecrayon and i will take you into the moutains of West Virginia and you WILL know why it is called the Mountain State!

The rockies they are not, but I drove across the state from one end to another and it was rolling mountain terrain the entire route. Very beautiful state.

It fits, sort of, they aren't tall peaks like you'd expect from the name, rolling hills more like. And the Hillbillies to go along with them.
