No, not at all. Sure, it's a big colorful soap opera and sure certain parts are a bit dated. But it has managed to entertain people for well over 60 years now and it still does. That's more than can be said for about 99.9% of the tripe being run off the assembly line in Hollywood today. I don't know about you, but I don't watch movies so I can sit around anaylizing the them into mincemeat; I watch them for entertainment and enjoyment. This is a classically GOOD flick. (Note to PBeavr - fans of the movie are still being born.)
