I think this is a great way to go - you still get some table service, and you don't have to sit around waiting for the check when you're ready to go.
Crepevine in the Castro is a decent, low key place to go for breakfast. There's plenty of seating, and a variety of omelettes and crepes and stuff to choose from. The food is decent - but in my opinion, not as good as the similar Squat and Gobble.

The food is very good but expensive (a crepe or omelette will run you $10, and pancakes are about the same). What I appreciated was the friendly staff - as we left, we were wished farewell not only by our server, but by two that we passed, as well as the busboy and a manager - and this was while the restaurant was slamming busy.
