Although you need a lot of room to do this, it can be interesting looking at the different types of bottles. When I turned 18 fair while ago (in some Australian states, 18 is the legal age of being able to buy alcohol), I collected all the booz bottles, but after almost half a year, I didn't have enough room for them so I had to put them in the recycle bin.

What's the use of collecting bottles if they're you're just gonna sell it for money?

Old bottles can really be profitable if the collector will sell them after they go up in value. I know of Coke bottles that sell for 100's of dollars. Just like most collectors of things of value the collector usually never sells anything, they die and someone in the family sells the stuff and makes a bundle.
