if you love comic books than this can be a fun and interesting because there is so much variety. it isn't profitable unless you stumble upon the few that are worth a pretty penny. condition is also very important to a collector so if you plan on selling them later on protecting them from damage is a must.

Sure people collect comic books. Maybe you like a character you'd want to idolize. Or you'd wanna sell them for money. ... Personally, there's no use for collecting comic books. I threw my old comic books in the recycling bin long ago.

This is something that I collected as a kid.I had a pretty good collection and continued collecting as an adult, however in the eighties, when I was laid off and jobs were scarce, these books paid the rent and fed the family. I hated to part with my collection and it literally broke my heart. At one time I had Superman #2, Amazing Fantasy #15 (The first Appearance of Spiderman)and many golden and silver age comics, I had thousands. I grew up in the Marvel Age and I honestly believe that the comics of today just don't compare.
