Even though they are not sold in kits anymore, i still prefer building them the old way from a kit.

 | Sundiszno (32) 10/22/2005 | I'm sort of a sucker for most kinds of miniature things (models). Not only do I collect them, I build them as well (mostly 1/48 scale aircraft and 1/35 scale armor). I bought a couple of die-cast aircraft, but they can get really expensive really quickly, so I swore off them. Besides, it gets to be a problem storing or displaying all of the models. I also have too many model jeeps, of varying scales, in die cast and in plastic. That stems from having a restored WW II jeep in my garage. I'm just a jeep nut.

 | Donovan (141) 09/29/2005 | I used to put together model cars when I was a young boy but for some reason always had parts left over. I think part of my problem was I just wanted to see the end product. What was really frustrating though was when you really needed a particular part and it was missing from the box. It seems the same is often true for other things you buy that have to be put together.
