I didn't do "the twist" myself but when you think of late 50s/early 60s rock and roll Chubby Checker was one of major artists on the scene.

Not a personal favorite,but certainly deserving as one of the early artists to put Rock n Roll on the map.

Ok so he is best known for the twist but he was one of the founding fathers so he should be in the hall. Looking at some of the other names on this list he deserves it more then a majority of them.

Let's put Hank Ballard in

First rock and roll artist to be popular with adults. His impact was humongous, as everybody from Mantovani to Muddy waters was making Twist records because of him.
