The only Mexican beer I like better is Dos Equis Amber. Tecate has a heavier flavor than most Mexican beers; it is the Stroh's of Mexican beer.

A swillable, light bodied beer. A pretty good alternative to Bud.

Tecate is my favorite mexican beer, doesn't have that aftertaste that corona has.  Its light flavored but still has enough taste and is good with or without a squeeze of lime.

An old favorite of my youth, but nowadays I look for more. Still a pretty good beer though.

Tecate is definitely growing on me as a nice alternative to Corona. It is a very light beer, and like Corona, tastes good with a lime. It is also pretty easy to put back a bunch of these in a row. Next time you are in a bar, look for the distinctive red can. And if you are concerned about drinking beer out of a can - don't be. This beer pulls it off somehow, and as an added bonus, is pretty damn cheap.

It is good bud still light, but of course better than Corona

I really don't care for Tecate. It has a weird metallic taste.

Nothing says spring break like tecate

Skip the lemon and salt. Good stuff on its own.

Mexicans seem to like it with lime and a little Margarita salt and in a can. A slightly better than average cerveza

Err. . .I've had worse cheap beers. It's okay for the price, but doesn't do much for the reputation of Mexican Beer.

The Budweiser of Mexico. Sadly enough, this brew is better than 90% of the American beers out there.

While I can appreciate a good brew, I am also a fan of sub-par beer. This is subpar beer of the best kind. A little too watery and everything. One of the biggest swindles I've ever seen was ordering six Tecate for me and my friends in an NYC restaurant. The price wound up being $30 ($5/each) as they handed me six cans of cheap Mexican beer. That $30 probably could have bought a year's worth of clothes, school supplies, etc. for some kid in Mexico. Oh well, it was a good night and good beer.

Tecate is pne of the best beers out of a can. Squeeze a lime wedge down in there and make sure it is icey cold and enjoy a nice refreshing pop. I know that in Mexico, Tectae is looked down upon, but they do not know what they are talking about. Give me a case of this in a super cooler on a hot summer day with some ladies around the pool and I would be a happy little boy.

I love Tecate (especially the town). Eventhough I am not a big fun of beer, I must recommend to try a Tecate!!!!
