Jimmy Cliff certainly deserve a place in the hall. He is the most verstile artist out of the west indies. Been doing great uplifting tropical songs that made the snow and cold of the uk bearable for me. Even in the height of the winter his song and beats makes you think and feel the shade of the palm in the tropics. None like Jimmy Cliff he is the godhead of reggae being in the hall is a must.

It will take a book to completely comment on this great man. Right from the beginning Jimmy cliff was instrumental to the popularity of reggae. Infact he sold the genre to the world and blaze a trail that others followed. Those who have listened to songs like " Many Rivers To Cross" described as the most beautiful song ever recorded, "You can get it if you really want" "Vietnam" even classics from his latest entry like "People" "City" etc will agree that if Cliff was an american he need no other contributions to induct him to the hall. He more than deserve it. Personally I wonder why he is still not there. Are there other yardstick other than creativity?

After Marley the most deserving Raggae artist. If the Hall was in England he would already be in.
