He should be a solid addition to the club. They could win the Atlantic if both he and Iverson share the ball. ... So far adding C-Webb hasn't worked. They just lost to my short-handed Knicks by 12 points.

Webber's put up very solid numbers every year he's been in the league; right around 20 ppg, 8 rebounds, 5 assists. The Sixers saw an opportunity to make a playoff run in a weak division, and they grabbed it. The Nets were awful but they picked up Vince Carter and their outlook looks less bleak. Toronto and New York are more or less a joke. Philly now has to oust the .500 level Celtics, and my money's on Philly.

This is an interesting acquisition that harkens back to when the Sixers got Mutumbo in 2001. That one got the Sixers to the Finals. C-Webb has baggage, but he is probably the most talented player the 76ers have had since Iverson was signed. Though I liked Corliss Williamson, this trade has to be considered a big-time steal for the Sixers (I think the Sack-O-Tomatoe Queens are shutting it down this year). With AI, Korver, C-Webb, and Iguodola, the Sixers look like a contender in the East (Especially if Shaq Diesel stays hurt).

Whoa... CWebb's not what he used to be and is basically playing on one leg but... I'm shocked the Sixers were able to get him. I love this trade because A) they didn't give up any of their young studs; B) they got out from under two bad contracts - Kenny Thomas and Brian Skinner; and C) They were able to show Iverson that they're serious about making a playoff run now.
