I have a hard time putting someone away for not deliberately attempting to harm someone. Yes, drunk driving is stupid. Yes, the person should lose their license, pay hefty fines, even have their car taken away...but incarcerating someone who accidentally kills someone with no intent seems to me to be too much.

Anybody can make a simple mistake that kills somebody. I don't believe in any minimums here.

That would depend on the circumstances.You could serve this even if someone jumped in front of you on a highway.However,if you were driving recklessly,speeding or drunk then 1-5 years may be too little.
