Excellent choice if you want to lead a totalitarian state.  In such states, the attitude frequently filters down the food chain as well.

This is not a good style of leadership because it just puts fear and resentment in the employees/followers. There will be no innovation which means nothing much will ever change, and change is vital if you want to be competitive in the business world. That's why so many people in the past, even sometimes now hate their work and their boss, because the boss never listens to them, isn't concerned about their comfort or needs, will punish you at the drop of a hat and couldn't care less about your ideas, or rate of pay. Autocracy is just a big power game.
