05/21/2006 | I love the sound of my husband singing his heart around the house. It fills me with peace and I know that he is happy and comfortable at that given time. All that is bad in the world is on the other side of those doors but for a short time we don't have acknowledge its existence.

04/28/2005 | I could not pick one. Laughter is always nice, music{lot's of kinds} a content kind of silence when there does not need to be sound. I miss the sounds of a lake in the summer when we used to have a place to go up north.Just to name a few.

03/04/2005 | The rhythmic sound of locusts (cecadas) on a dry summer night in Western Kansas, with the breeze blowing through elm trees. When you combine that sound with those diamond-like stars up in a black sky (the air is incredibly clean out there), it might be the nearest thing we have to Heaven on earth.

02/28/2005 | First and foremost, I love to hear my kids and grandkids when we are all together, talking and laughing, it's just a great sound. At night when I'm sleeping, I love to hear the trains from a distance, it's a very comforting sound.
