04/28/2005 | I can't stand hearing screaming and crying. Screaming or yelling (at someone or something) is often done with no good reason, and it's just obnoxious. And it just sucks to hear someone cry when you can't comfort them.

Leaf-blowers, car-alarms, vehicles modified to be *louder* (just get Viagra, for heaven's sake, it's cheaper), people yakking on cell phones in restaurants, -- too many to name. Bierce said it well: Noise, n. A stench in the ear. The chief product and authenticating sign of civilization.

03/22/2005 | Conservatives talking. UPDATE: Oh come on, people! Have a sense of humor! Okay. Here's one that REALLY annoys me: People chatting loudly on cellphones in restaurants, cinemas, etc. Now THAT is an annoying sound. Now can I get some love?
