This whiskey has a bit of burn and has a flavor profile similar to Old Grandad. For fans of that specific bourbon wanting to save a few bucks, give this a try.

It's okay. However there is better in the bottomshelf whiskey department. However it isn't too offensive taste wise. It can't match the caliber of old crow, evan williams, ezra brooks or ancient age.

I never really have had a bad bourbon.

i have actually compared early times with crown royal and could only taste a very slight difference. the main difference is in the strength of the after taste. i would agree with the comment that it is a sweeter tasting whiskey and is not considered a bourbon because it is aged in used charred oak barrels (although the export is aged in new charred oak barrels and is considered a bourbon). for the money, taste, and mixability i would have to say its very hard to beat.

Early Times is a pretty good whiskey for the price, goes down decently smooth, alright flavor, nothing to great but for something out of a plastic bottle (read cheap) it really isn't bad. People always think its a bourbon because its from Kentucky, but its actually not.

ET is my everyday drink. I fine it better then most midrange bourbons. I love the single barell stuff but most are to strong to realy enjoy. When I look for a top shelf I normaly reach for 1792.

Early Times is the best tasting bourbon and is low priced. It goes well with everything and is best by itself.

A bargain; nice, normal bourbon... dunno why all the low marks. Better than Knob's Creek to me...

Private Stock is very smooth strait whiskey or one the rocks and not perfumy like Jim Beam or rash like Wild Turkey. Johnnie Walker is my only preference but compare prices and Early times wins hands down.

Bourbon should not be mixed with coke. OK maybe this stuff should be mixed with something but good bourbon should be enjoyed all by its lonesome or with a few cubes.

Early times is probably the best cheap whiskey on the market. Its smooth taste makes it an excellent mixer with coke. I would recommend it over most premium whiskeys!

I know homeless people that wont drink it.
