Anwar is a sweet guy with a nice voice.

Great tone to his voice like so many black vocalists are born with, but again, pitchy all the time and not good control. He needs a lot of help in stage prescence too.

Anwar was a really good singer, and he was consistent, but with the consistancy, also came repitition. His style didn't seem to change at all.

a 4.5. I like his singing. I hope he gets into the top 12 { I think He will} he has this charm to him too. since there is more than just singing that makes an American Idol. he has a lot of the characteristics that may get him far into the competition.

UPDATE: Anwar you did not deserve to go! You were the best singer. Screw Carrie and Scott. Go back to teaching those kids, you'll probably get a record deal anyway because your so awesome. I really didn't deserve to go. Original: In my opinion the best this year, guys and girls.

He is amazing. Very very talented. Just needs to step up his game more. He usedd to be alot better but is kinda dragging along now. Its lik the final 6 soon. He needs to step it up

Brilliant to crappy to ?? Anwar is still to prove his position in the top 8. He starts off songs dull, however always rescues himself with the high notes. He is capable of great things vocally. He needs to do better.

Anwars a good singer also. I think he has a lot of support fom his students that he teaches to sing and dance. He's ok!

Very skilled and talented vocalist who has hurt himself with weird song choices. He does know music and singing very well due to his education and experiance.

This dude stinks. All he does is yell at the end of each song. He is really bad, really bad the rest of the song.

Anwar you have great power in your high notes when you are yelling. However, the rest of your vocals are painful to hear and prove you should no longer be in the competition. Plus your awkward, stage presence is something that is hard to watch. You have a great smile which is why I believe you are even still in the running. I also think it is nice that you can represent the gay community with dignity and you have class.

Anwar is my fave Idol from all 4 seasons! Go Anwar! Great talent! Very easy on the eyes and what a sweetheart! Boy, if I were single and 10 years younger... ;)

So far, the best. Voice, look, and song selection. And I like that fact that he is a teacher.

Superb voice and great stage presence. I will definitely buy his CD, win or lose.

I think Anwar is a great-looking guy with a great-sounding voice with power behind it and a good range. I think we need to see a little more personality from him though. I think he will do really well in the competition, and has done so far.

A nice guy with an amazing voice. And he's a music teacher too, so he knows how to really blow you away with his range!

Second only to Bo in my book. Great singer and entertaining to watch. Update: After his performance on 3/7 I believe Anwar posesses the most talent. So, now Bo is 2nd in my book.

My very early favorite to win it all. Currently, I still have him as a slight favorite over Carrie Underwood. Incredible, smooth voice that makes you smile when you hear it.

One of the best guys this year. This man can sing. He knows exactly how to use his voice. We need people like him on that show. He is the prove that is was a good thing to raise the age limit this year.
