Colorless and remote. The camera has a way of catching her disinterested sneer. Her vocal talent does not translate into singing ability. She is a mass marketed commodity and a schlock artist. Let's hope she matures and finds her own voice or marries an Oklahoma oil man ...

The only reason why Carrie is so popular is because she won American Idol and she is a blonde. 10 years from now she will fade and only her fans will know who she is. I could not watch her perform because she has very bad stage presence, still cannot hit those notes, and she sings like Martina McBride. Carrie needs her own style and she does not have that. She sounds like every other singer out there in country music. I watched her perform "Before He Cheats" on Good Morning America and she was flat on certain parts and it made my skin crawl. Even the judges on American Idol commented on being off-key so I know I'm not the only one who is hearing it. I know the people in the studio dread and gets frustrated working with her. I was shocked that she appeared on a TV commerical! She should be kept away from magazines, TV appearances, news, public appearance, and radio. I strongly don't want to see her on TV at all! End this Idol madness now!

Probably the best natural untrained voice ever on Idol. With some lessons, this lady has the potential to be the most outstanding singer to come out of Idol. She has an amazing head tone quality that she has only begun to explore on Idol. Pitch-perfect ability to navigate key changes and her power and timbre are outstanding. Her voice seemed strained the last 2 shows of Idol, possibly nerves or sickness but all in all Carrie was the most outstanding peformer this year and took the biggest risks with song selections and peformance style changes. Can be the most successful Idol of all time given the proper song selections.

She sang good but not good when she sang Country *Cringes* Bo was a bit robbed.

i feel like this show is rigged but maybe thats because i am a bo fan.i do feel he out performed her. she is talented but she has nothing unique to her and i am a fan of country music.

Cardboard Carrie was the producers favorite from the beginning and middle America stupidly fell for this stiff.

Greatness should be rewarded, not marketability. That is why the outcome of this show was so disappointing. And wrong. Who should be given a job? The applicant who is the most qualified for it now? Or the one who might be qualified for it after a few more years of experience? AI is supposed to be about finding the best undiscovered singing and performing talent in the country. But Carrie Underwood was consistently outsung and outperformed by at least two other contestants in the top 12, one of whom who was simply too good for this show and unintentionally embarrassed the others on it (the winner included) with his brilliance.

Consistently pitchy and boring. In my opinion, if you miss more than two notes in a whole song...you are not ready. (unless you are a stylist like Petty or Dylan and she should not be mentioned in the same sentence)Totally overrated but could likely win this competition because she is clearly the easist product to sell. Period. Thats whats wrong with the music industry today.

Carrie is a very good singer, but she is a terrible performer! She is so boring to watch! Bo has it all - excellent singer AND excellent performer. Vonzell was even better than Carrie (though Carrie is a better singer technically than Vonz). Carrie should NOT win this thing - she is no star.

You ROCK CARRIE!!! BRING IT ALL HOME!!! She's the best singer in this competition hands down! She is sweet, pleasent, and not egotistical! She dresses nice, and is pretty much consistent. Her second performance last night (If you Dont' know me by now) wasn't that great, but not nearly as bad as what Simon made it out to be. But of course, that's Simon for you. Her first performance (Sin Wagon) was amazing. American loves her, I love her! Win or not, she'll have a record deal like Randy said, and I'm buying it!

The best this year! She is a little country but not wangy and she is not ashamed of her roots. I think she can sing all styles of music and should win this season hands down.

Great singer. Fabulous performances of 'Alone' and 'Independence Day', however I'm worried about Anwar, Nadia and Vonzell beating her in the long run. You've got my vote.

You can't deny her talent. She's my favourite contestant ever on 'Idol' and that includes Kelly who is one of my faves of all-time. She is such an amazing performer... I said from her very first audition that she was gonna win the whole thing. (Knock on wood) But I really think she can. 'Alone' proved my point.

The best contestant on Idol and the most talented as well. Her performance of Alone was by far the best all season.

Carrie, you have the most amazing gift from God. You deserve to win it all. You will be superstar no matter the results. YOu are the only singer who does not rely on long, varied runs at the end of each line to hide weakness vocally. I am so thankfull you are in this competition and doing so well. Simon was right, you will outsell all other idols. I believe you have a great pop voice as well as country and will be able to do either or both. I sense you are a very nice, normal girl with amazing talent who does not need to run around or sit in various spots around the stage to entertain people. You are the best singer period.....

Carrie's performance of Alone is by far the best performance of anyone this season. I hope she keeps up the power. Her voice has a clarity, especially in her licks, that is rarely seen nowadays. As a voice major myself, I am extremely impressed. Plus, I like how sweet she seems to be. Let's just hope that she keeps this innocent personality and doesn't lose it liek so many others have before her.

So refreshing to see a nice person making it! Carrie is such an amazing singer and down-to-earth, respectable person. She deserves to be the next American Idol. She would be a real role model for our youth.

I think Carrie is great. She should definitely win. I really like her country style. But she looks just like Kelly except for the hair. Not that that matters. Just observing the fact.

Carrie has it all! The cute little farm girl has the dynamic voice to go along with her downhome beauty! Two concers; I'd like to see her music choices improve a little, and second, I'd like to see her confidence improve in her performance. According to the oddsmakers at Vegas (Yes, they really do handicap American Idol now), it's hers to lose. She isn't too bad to look at. But I have a sneaking suspicion that if she doesn't make it here, she'll be doing the circuit at all the s--t kickin' bars from Monroe to Angeline.
