I think they're overrated, although they are popular on the folk music scene and critics everywhere, especially in the UK, seem to be obsessed with them.

I love Richard Thompson, but no way. "Walking on a Wire" might be one of the greatest songs of all time though. The Hall will just have to be one Dick short.
