Like Heart broke down a lot of doors for females in rock by being the first all girl rock band. They also wrote all their own material unlike other similiar acts like the Bangles. Number 1 album, classic hits and critical cred. What's taking so long HOF?

The Go-Go's were ground-breakers.  Their music was fun and they knew how to entertain.  They were one of the 80's most defining bands.

At first I saw the novelty, but really there is not that much to justify their cause. Their music was funny and is not terrible, but what would the point be of having them in there?

While some people think of them as pop, the live version of the Go-Go's rocks. They are great entertainers , and their talent is underrated, as Charlotte Caffey plays keyboards, bass, and drums, in addition to guitar; Kathy Valentine (bass) is actually a killer guitarist and songwriter - she only took up bass because she decided, "I want to be in THIS band." The first all-girl group to write their own music and play their own instruments (very well, I might add), they are still one of the best all girl bands you will ever see. [Some voters plug the Go's friends, The Bangles, but their big hits were written by Prince.]

If only their lips WERE sealed!

they totally deserve to be in the rock and roll hall of fame! the only all female band to hit #1 on the album chart!

The gogos do deserve it. The have come along way over 20 years and still rocking, anyone who thinks they dont dersve it can kiss my ass.

GO-Go's RULE

A must. Sure there were the Runaways, but the Go-Gos were the first major all female band.

They should be in if they go-go and buy a ticket like everyone else.

A pivotal part of my era with some songs that I personally consider classic but not strong enough to get in. They made 2 decent albums and 1 dud in 1985. Then Belinda Carlisle went way too commercial for my tastes. The GoGos released a new album a few years ago which was pretty good but unfortunately it was ignored.

Girl group that spawned Belinda Carlisle. Thanks MTV. They were too popular for the product they put out. I can't see them getting in. Either Bananarama, The Bangles, or The Go-Go's. I pick The Bangles, and they aren't getting in.
