Boz Scaggs is a "modern classic" whose work is absolutely timeless. I have played his music for folks who were just babies in the 70's - or who weren't even born yet, and they are automatically hooked. His work crosses all boundaries of age, race and genre. He will always stand as an original - a true troubador - who embraces the roots of Blues, R&B, Soul, Rock & Roll, Jazz and even Country. He should be a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

I am not sure why a lot of people say "Started with Steve Miller". He was with that other guy for just a short stint, and has been producing music on his own for close to 40 years. I own 17 of his albums and to my ears, he is the best. He has a great voice, puts together very tight bands, and writes terrific lyrics with great music. I would not expect a 17 year old to be a fan, but to those who have been around a while, he has always been great.
