11/12/2005 | She was an idiot in the past but since her appearance on Surreal life I gained a whole new respect for this woman. She is a true christian and doesn't judge people even when she disagrees with them. I wish I had half her dignity because she had to come back from scandel, prove herself again, battle cancer, and now has cancer again.

04/28/2005 | I was never into her televangelist phase, of course I wasn't into any of the televangelists. The only thing that I can say now, Thank God she's calmed down (if only slightly) on the pounds of caked on make-up that made her unforgettable (unfortunately). I'd be scared to watch her cry, and I have to wonder how she removed all of it--or if she just slept in it.

03/19/2005 | I really hate to say much here, because I don't want to be negative. But after what she did to her husband while he was in prison, plus a lot of obnoxious things she has done since then, I have a real problem with her. God is her judge, so I don't know what's in her heart. And we're not allowed to judge people. But we ARE allowed (and commanded) to judge works. And she's performed some rather pitiful works in recent years. By the way, Bakker has two k's in this case. Only her last name is now Messner.

03/18/2005 | The worst of the sell-evangelsist bunch. When her and hubby Jimmy were living high she enjoyed all of the fruits of their efforts but when the floor fell out from under them it was Jimmy who took the fall alone and did the jail time. While he was serving time (he served time better than he ever served God) she filed for divorce and hooked up with someone else. She didn't even have the guts to help him get past his ordeal and see it through until his release. (perhaps Jimmy really repented and when she saw there would be no more gravy train she abandoned ship?) In my opinion she is a selfish leech who proves the saying When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping. I'm waiting for the day when I'm watching TV and I see a commercial advertising Soon to come.... Tammy Baye Faker's complete beauty salon, massage parlor, and off track betting palace.

03/18/2005 | Honestly, vfern - I do not think the woman was kidding with any of that the pounds of makeup, the big hair, or even the crying (however, her motivation for tearing up daily was probably thinking of what might happen if she suddenly could not afford the later). I don't really think she has the mental capacity to do that convincing an acting job. (It's kind of like when you hear someone say, we couldn't even make this stuff up!) No, this is actually what happens when white trash hits the lottery...only in this case, their lottery was an ever increasing income derived from fleece. And, while their loyal but naïve/stupid/desperate (you decide) denuded flock shivered and attempted to subsist on spiritual cotton candy the Baker's proceeded to live like redneck royalty. That is, until the kah kah hit the fan.
