Blind jazz musician who was refreshingly humorous in a genre that, like classical music, sometimes takes itself a tad too seriously. I have a video of a 1969 jam session called "Super Session" that he did with, among others, Buddy Guy and rock musicians like Steve Stills and Eric Clapton. In this film, Kirk and his band do an incredible , high energy take on "I Say A Little Prayer" that is absolutely mesmerizing.
