 | minkey (40) 12/24/2006 | Very few things in life upset me as much as opening a newspaper and reading about a pit bull mauling. Some states have banned them; I'm not sure why there's not a nation-wide ban. With so many great dogs to choose from, why select a pit bull? It is true, many can be friendly and extremely loyal pets, but their killer instinct can kick in when you least expect it. Just checked the stats; pit bulls were blamed for over 35% of all fatal dog attacks between '77-'97.

 | Boxers'n'Danes (1) 08/25/2005 | Fact: in 2004 we killed more dogs in shelters and on the roads than great white sharks in the past 100 years.

 | Sundiszno (32) 03/29/2005 | An indisputable fact (perhaps). But, even more indisputable is the fact that every year, more dogs than Great Whites are run over in the US.
