Skillful and clever, a master of the wah-wah pedal. Unfortunately died in a freak gun accident. His stellar playing and growling and soulful vocals ( he's one of the very few white singers that I actually first thought were black) were a highlight of their early work, and it's too bad a band with so much talent had to piss it all away.
