Brian Nichols is officially scum. Being a rapist makes him scummy enough, but then killing 4 people and taking a woman hostage in an effort to escape are as awful as a person can be. I don't think Brian is going to have a chance to escape again, and his chances of ever living outside of a jail cell are about 0%.
