They say that your weather should be "internal" - so that you control your mood. That being said, there's something about a gorgeous, sunny day to put an extra bounce in your step.

a 3.5. Where I live in Michigan, our state is known for not getting a lot of sunshine. After going through a difficult snowy more than usual, mostly cloudy winter. I do appreciate a sunny day.I cannot wait for spring and hopefully warmer weather. I wish we had more sun where I am at.Sunny days in Michigan are kind of stingy. I do notice that when we have a sunny beautiful day, it seems like people are more cheerful. I know i am. just want to be outside to enjoy the nice sunny day.No it is not essential to my happiness, but I do welcome those sunny days.

Not essential, though it does have a positive effect. When the sun came out recently in my area and vanquished the oppressive glaze of snow which swamped it, I felt inherently more positive than before. The sun gives us that useful vitamin D and illuminates the land, allowing us to appreciate the world with the greatest clarity.

It's not essential to me, but it sure can help sometimes. When I lived in the midwest it was much more important, because sunshine there was relatively rare, except in summer.
