No!!! He was the prototypical destroyerof real r&b songs in the '50's. When in doubt, the Suits would put a white-bread, Good Housekeeping spin on real blood and guts rock & roll songs by having Boone "interpret" them. Listen to Boone singing Little Richard's "Tutti-Frutti" and try not to barf. If I could vote zero stars, I would.p.s. How does he have a rating over 1.6 when no one has given him more than one star?

I never considered his music as rock

Pretty much a parasite. He seemed to sing race music with a clean "wholesome" twist. The people whose songs he covered were more talented but seen as threatening to America's youth at the time. Chuck Berry and Little Richard are in, and that is enough

Belongs well below the Backstreet Boys and Milli Vanilli on this list.

ROCK Hall? You're kidding! I don't dislike his songs, they're just not cause to make Pat Hall-worthy. I agree on all past comments.

Absolutely deserving of the honor. I just think we should put Don Ho and Mel Torme in first.

On a day like today--let's blow Pat Boone away--from this list--where he does not belong!

The religious right's answer to the unsavory and degenerate rock'n'roll scene. PB has always tried to sanitize whatever is popular at the time, draining the music of its vitality and soul. It's a sick joke to even think of him being honored in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
