Personally, my Wife and I had no connection with him. He acted as if he was better than everyone else. He kept making us repeat everything. You would think he was talking to little children. Very insulting. Just kept looking for an appaulse. The whole thing was marketing his books. Just way to high on his horse. He even made reference to how he lived next to a WWF wrestler and how the WWF guy made 7 figures. Hmmm....How much did you make living next to someone like that? I did not feel empowered in fact a lot people were rolling their eyes because he kept bragging about himself being the best selling author, etc. Very Cocky, Forgive me for being so judgmental Lord! Just sharing my honest opinion for this review.

John has been to my church several times and his heart is real with the love of jesus. His teachings from the word are penetrating to the heart. He's ablaze for the lord - If anyone get a chance and he's in your area he's worth listening too!

To be honest, when I first saw John Bevere, I actually did not like his preaching. I thought he was a little insensative and a bit too hellfire and brimstone for my liking. But there was something very genuine I sensed in him, something that I do not sense in 99% of preachers. So I did some serious prayer on this with the Lord as to give JB a fair-go. I told the Lord that I did not fully trust him and although I felt he was genuine, I couldn't stand his preaching. Then, a few months later, the Spirit of the Lord answered that prayer and ever since then, I have loved his preaching. John has grown on me more and more until I now love his preaching and consider him to be amongst my favorite preachers.
Apart from liking his cheerful presentation and sense of humour, the reason I give him such a high rating is because, well firstly, I can feel strongly that he has a very genuine love for Jesus. Apart from that I like the fact that his main desire as a preacher is to make the church intimate with God and has a real conviction that the church in general (not everyone though but just a lot of the church) does not have a intimate relationship with Jesus the way they should, plus he teaches on subjucts such as obedience and the fear of the Lord and honour. His sermons are meaty and he only sometimes (if not rarely) preaches dessert sermons. I also find that once I've gotten to know him, he preaches it in love and I've heard other things which he has said which suggests that he is a compassionate and soft person. The other thing which is a big plus is the fact he is balanced. He also believes that God is a good God who is pure love and has also said that you will never understand the commands of God unless you have a revelation that He is pure love and that He loves you passionately. Plus he also hates it when Christians judge and criticize each other and also has sermons about that, and overall, believes that God is a good God who wants to bless you (which He does), but we must make it our life and daily ambition to draw near to His Heart and obey Him fully.
I am a little cautious of the visions he has had and the other people's visions he mentions. But I also remember him clearly saying that he tells everyone these visions to compliment to the Word or help people understand the application of a particular verse, not to replace or be equal to the Word. He tells people this so that they don't put their faith in his visions (or accuse him of doing so) but wants people to put their trust in Jesus and His Word alone. May God richly bless both John and Lisa Bevere.

John Bevere seems like a genuine person. The only problem I have is that he seems to think that offence is a sin, but Jesus was offended when he overturned the tables when the traders turned the temple into a "den of thieves". Offence is a natural reaction at times when you have been deeply hurt by someone, and to suggest that it is the "bait for Satan" seems a little insensitive.
I think when he speaks against offence, what he really means is unforgiveness. I hold that it is not wrong to be offended (since even God is offended by idolatry), but it is a sin to become bitter about the offence, or to hold unforgiverness against the offender. Bevere needs to really replace the word "offence" with "unforgiveness", then I will agree with him.

"Do not treat prophecies with contempt. Test everything. HOLD ON TO THE GOOD." Go ahead and read John Bevere (or Joyce Meyer or TD Jakes or Joel Osteen) if you wish. But please do so knowing that anyone, and that means ANYONE who truly hungers to have a proper understanding of the Sovereign LORD God as He has revealed Himself in His Holy Word rightly divided, would be better off reading (as AntonBarone said) John Piper and John MacArthur, and if I may also add: RC Sproul, Mark Dever, Tim Keller, Jerry Bridges, JI Packer, John Frame, Robert Reymond, Michael Horton, Sam Storms, Sinclair Ferguson, Wayne Grudem, Graeme Goldsworthy, CJ Mahaney, DA Carson... Humble men of God who allow the Scriptures to speak for themselves, rather than indulge in marketing and promotions. (In fact, many of their engaging articles are available freely online--just do a search using their names.) Now to Him who is ABLE to KEEP YOU from stumbling, and to MAKE YOU stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the ONLY GOD our Savior, through JESUS CHRIST our LORD, be Glory, Majesty, DOMINION and AUTHORITY, before all time and now and forever. Amen. Thank you all! Be blessed.

He is a man of Integrity. he preaches the Word with passion accuracy. His ministry changes lives. The fruit from his life proves who he is.

John Bevere is in the postmodern camp that bases truth on feelings, miracles, visions. It's pure heresy. Don't get snookered by this false teacher. Instead read John Piper or John MacArthur.

It is obvious that none of you have any kind of intimacy with the Holy Spirit that you should take such cheap shots at God's anointed. It is doubtful that any one of you speak with other tounges, let alone believe that this wonderful gift is for today. I am sure that if were John MacAuthur, you vipers would have given him 5 stars hands down. For those of you who desire to get the truth straight up, AND ARE HUNGRY FOR MORE OF GOD, I suggest you get the books and CD's and see for yourself. I've been a Christian since 1982 and seen lots of abuse, false prophets and aboninable idolotry in the church. John Bevere's word is certainly NOT in this category and vehemently preaches AGAINST the degregation we are witnessing in the church today. Central to his message is how God desires, yes even yearns for us! Yes, he's intense allright, because he teaches as one having authority and not as our modern evangelical scribes.
