03/21/2005 | Probably my all-time favorite Orwell quote, which as a fan, says a lot. Anyone who has ever been slandered or libeled (as I have)for political/personal reasons knows all too well what he is inferring. Simply stated, political jargon (along with the non-too-subtle weapon of innuendo) is a tool utilized by cowardly propagandist sleazebags who wish to destroy you while not having to take full responsibility for what they've actually said. These word games can be lethal if used in the right manner, which is one more reason why wise, substantive quotes such as these are so vital in the depraved culture we live in today.
