And it's even worse when a well meaning friend or acquaintance has you put on a mailing list that you didn't ask to be put on, and then you have an awful time trying to get them to stop sending you their junk.

These are really irritating, often because they are the biggest spams and clog the most. It can be challenging to unsubscribe, especially when a company changes hands and the sleaze factor rises.
