One Hit Wonder. Had the good fortune to be rememebered solely because he was riding with Buddy Holly on that fateful night.

I was in high school when he died. Unfortunately, aside from "Chantilly Lace," I can't think of anything else that J. P. Richardson did. He was good on the tour, however. Maybe a special category could exist for those who, apart from tragedy, would have made it.

One of three from "The Day The Music Died". He, along with Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens fell victim to a plane crash. The trip was supposed to include Waylon Jennings instead of The Big Bopper. Sentiments aside, I don't see it.

You say "Hell, Baby", I say good-bye Bopper.

No way. Ritchie Valens was Buddy Holly's opening act, and he's one of the Hall's least deserving current members. Now someone wants to induct Ritchie Valens opening act? Wow.
