02/12/2008 | I like his music, but Ted Nugent the man is far more well rounded than some may think. He is very active with DARE, MADD, and Big Brother and Big Sisters of America. He also runs a camp for kids teaching them hunting safety, conservation, archery, and delivering an anti-drug message. He's also been to both Iraq and Afghanistan to entertain the troops. He's strong minded, has strong opinions, and he doesn't mind expressing them. His attitude to those that critisize him: If you don't like it, tough. (Though it would probably be far more colorful than that.)

12/12/2006 |  I enjoyed his music well enough as a teenager (the first concert I ever saw featured both him and Black Sabbath...December 5, 1976...I had dinner with my father, who then walked me over to Madison Square Garden that night; everyone in the crowd outside the Garden thought Dad was a narc), but had completely lost interest by the early 80's. I remember reading an early interview with him where he hilariously detailed how he had avoided the draft during the Vietnam War. Sort of ironic, considering his current and well-advertised reputation as a red-blooded, all-American, gun-shootin', square-talkin' "hawk". To be honest, I don't listen to what he says on the radio, I don't watch his "reality" TV shows...it's not that I dislike him particularly; I'm sure a lot of his persona is show-business shtick...I just couldn't care less. Is he still in "Damn Yankees"? Couldn't tell ya. Although, the few times I've come across him recently while channel-surfing, it does sound like he needs a new set of dentures. Surely he's making enough money that he can replace the ill-fitting ones he has now. Either that, or he has a speech impediment I never knew about.

12/21/2005 | Michigan yankee boy. Not southern. Live proof that plenty of yankees fit this undeserved image of "redneck" too. That said, He still has a viable cult following who watch his show and listen to his radio show. I like the guy and love to hear his far right rantings. Scary thing is I agree with most of it. The other portion is just flat funny. I dont have a problem at all with Ready Teddy!!

11/12/2005 | I don't consider Nugent an idiot. He is radical but means what he says. He also Jar isnt southern, he is a Michigan native. He does have a tendency to offend people but I do have to say, he is what he is.

03/30/2005 | Gun toting, wired up, wild eyed, dangerous ass who enjoys killing animals. Sure, he has the guts to go against the grain in his biz and say what he thinks. I just don't really care to hear from him.

03/28/2005 | A typical Southern racist musician nobody talks about. He hates African-Americans, Asians, Hispanics and Middle Eastern people. If he'd shut up more often rather than blabbering, maybe he wouldn't be such a bad influence.
