As much as anyone, and perhaps more than many, responsible for the collusion between owners to screw free agents.

Despite what some believe, he didn't stand up to anyone. He was a bumboy for the owners, just like virtually every other commissioner

What a farce. The leader of collusion in the late 1980's with the teams against the free agents like Dawson and Fisk. Did well with LA Olympics, but not MLB.
