I did not follow this very close. I get the feeling that although Robert Blake is by no means an angel. Bonnie Bakely had her own criminal past. Niether one of them are nice. However, I think that Robert blake had something to do with her being murdered. according to the jury they were not able to put the gun in his hand. so he gets off.he is behind this somewhere. It sounds like a few people wanted her out of the picture.

Sure looks that way,but I never follow these hyped up celebrity trials. When there's a media feeding frenzy like this, there's usually something else going on much more worthy of our attention.

i thought for a moment that robert blake was going to be the one who did not get away with murder but i was wrong. it wasn't because he was a football star but because the key players on the other side were lowlifes. even more so than blake appeared to be.

There was just too much circumstantial evidence to believe he didn't do it, even though the jury believed it wasn't compelling evidence to convict him. Unlike the OJ trial where there was a mountain of forensics evidence proving his guilt this case lacked the definitive evidence connecting him to the murder. That being said I still think he was guilty as sin.

The OJ trial taught me two things; it made me realize that morons are allowed to serve on juries and its outcome killed any true sense of confidence I had in the legal system. Yes, its one of the best the world has to offer but that does not excuse or change the fact that it is also a cesspool of twisted corruption. Im afraid that the Blake fiasco only exacerbated that sad conclusion. As far as Im concerned, neither of these wife killers has gotten away with a thing.

The only upside to letting this murderer walk free is that we can now laugh and enjoy his insane press conferences and interviews.

Blake managed to luck out simply because first off- Bonny Lee Bakley wasn't exactly the posterchild for morality and innocence which probably prevented the jury from feeling their heart strings pulled. Second, the evidence against Blake often made Blake look GOOD by comparison. A poor job on the prosecutions part doesn't make Blake innocent...just lucky.

I draw this distinction: he was found not guilty of the specific charge of murder. It doesn't mean I believe he didn't commit the murder, only that there was insufficient evidence to convict this piece of scum who obviously murdered his wife and got away with it. Am I splitting hairs?

Again, just like the O.J. case, the jury found Mr. Blake not guilty of murder. I believe in the justice system. The jury made their decision, so we should support that decision whether we like it or not. So no, Mr. Blake did not murder his wife.
