 | lmorovan (12) 04/25/2008 | Does it surprise you? We let about one million Americans die (actually being killed) because the supreme Court says is OK. Can you say tyranny of the Judiciary?

 | Saiban (0) 10/25/2007 | She was already dead before they killed her. It was a mercy to her soul not to be held to life any longer.

 | luridlloyd (9) 11/25/2006 | If we are talking about Terri Schiavo, I can't believe the way this question is framed.
As the post mortum showed, her brain was less than half it's normal size. She was unfortunately not really human anymore. She was deaf, dumb, blind, and had no cognitave brain function. I think it is inhumane to keep her as a pet. Many doctors convinced many judges of this. A lot of those judges were Republican appointees. Almost everyone I know, doesn't want their empty shell of a body kept alive if there is no brain function. Terri Schiavo finally got back her dignaty 11 years after she really died, and her soul left her body.

 | helmut (16) 06/16/2005 | Eschew, it's not the fact that some think that she would have wanted to die that way or even that they wanted let her die. It's the fact that so many of these people were the right to die camp, killing an innocent woman to make a point. Even then the point falls on it's face. I can think of no one who could prove to me that she wanted to die without saying things like she HAS no live or other statments that give only THEIR jugdement of her quality of life, as if that was relevant. The people who truly believe she would have wanted it that way don't bother me. We can agree to disagree. It's the other half that I find particularly dispicible.

 | EschewObfuscation (61) 06/16/2005 | Canadasucks makes a good point here because had we not gone into Iraq, Saddam Hussein would have made sure that every one of those 9,000 Iraqis were still alive today. Why, he wouldn't hurt a fly (or a Kurd). I'm just not convinced, no matter how many people purport to know her wishes better than I do, that she would have wanted to die in the way she did. I know what you think, I'm just not convinced by your argument.

 | CanadaSucks (45) 03/30/2005 | What hypocrisy. But Americans ignore the deaths of over 9 thousand civilians in Iraq. Some pro-life stance. What's the matter? Don't like law and order when you don't get the decisions you want?
