A pretty good film. Bogie as a reporter brought into the seedy side of boxing by crooked managers, promoters, and gangsters. Seems to based very loosely on a Primo Carnera type. Also features Max Baer, Jersey Joe Walcott and Rod Stieger. This was Bogies last film.

At the end of things, Bogart looks tired and dying. Nonetheless, he summons up some final chops for a pretty memorable role in a pretty mediocre movie.
